I feel brave

I feel brave.  I took all three kids to the store today…by myself.  Everything went fine.  I didn’t have very much to get and I was early enough that I didn’t have kids falling asleep in the car.  And if I had been about ten minutes faster I would deem it a total success.  About five minutes from home The Boy started crying.  He was hungry.  If I had ten more minutes I would have had everything put away before he woke up…ah well.

I have learned through the years that a crying child is an okay thing.

Wow, taking 3 kids to the store by yourself is extremely brave! I’ve never taken both kids to the store at once, it’s either one or the other. Most of the time if I go to the store, I make sure my son’s already been put to sleep (he sleeps at 6:30), that way Husband only has one child to watch.

I did that one time….Amber was wandering the store trying to find strangers to go home with,Tyler was crying for candy from the buggy and Neil broke a jar of pickles. I handed this all ok but when another shopper (a woman I might add) looked at me with contempt I simply left my full cart of grocerys and went home. From then on I did all my shopping at 12midnight after Larry was home and the kids where asleep.
